How is an add-on's compatibility with Sim Update 5 determined?
Does the developer simply compile it with the latest SDK and do internal testing?
Is there a group on flightsim.to that tests it?
Is it just used and if no bugs are reported, it is assumed compatible?
I've watched a lot of videos of people using Stream Decks with MSFS and it looks amazing. My only concern is that it takes away from normal (cockpit) interaction with controls. If I set up a Stream Deck correctly, I will basically never have to move around the cockpit and handle controls again, for any aircraft I set up. That seems to be a negative in a lot of ways.
Does anyone here use Stream Deck and to what degree?
I just turned them off.
General Options > Accessibility > cockpit interaction system to "legacy".
Lots more here:
I love the livery section on this site and the developers do an amazing job! Thanks!
Just curious how quickly developers get into making livery for newly released aircraft, how long it takes them and how long before we see new aircraft appear as categories?
Any chance we could get the country scenery sections broken down further into states/provinces/etc.? Especially for the largest countries (US, Canada, UK, Germany).
I know we can search, but developers don't always use state names in their posts. And while the scenery map is amazing, there is a lot of scrolling and zooming necessary to find things. Lists are sometimes just much easier.
Thanks for a great job on this site!
Steps 7 and 9 are unnecessary. I do step 8 before copying over a new version of my scenery just to be safe, but it may not be necessary either.
