New bugs in update6?
-
-
There appear to be some very weird problems with WU 6, including huge buildings floating in the sky, streetlights floating above cities (and above the runway lighting of the local airports. Hand in there a few days and a fix will come along and remove a lot of these oddities.

Has anyone noticed that their FPS with update VI has been a real setback especially during takeoff & landing from even the smallest of airports? I have a very high end set up that was capable of running in ultra settings across the board after update V. Now my GPU drops to under 10% at times resulting in massive stuttering.

Have you made sure that the sim in the airport hasn't been updated to asphalt?
Either way, that looks like two more for MS/Asobo over at flightsimulator.com - they are the prime support site for the sim - we only handle mods that are posted on this site, and some generic information from MS/Asobo if we know it.

Hi John, I'm sure because I live here and have also flown. It is the runway for gliders and tow planes. It has also remained a grass track in the Sim visually...Do you know if Asobo will read along here? Otherwise, I'll post this elsewhere... So far I haven't found a better address, but I have to admit that I haven't explicitly searched for it... But this forum is just great and also full of enthusiasts who want great sceneries for refinement completely selflessly for download. The crew is just great! But thank you very much for your hint!
Edit: And just for comparison: LOWK has been designed by your mods much more lovingly and carefully than by the direct provider! But it is no longer up to date because the aging 2 hangars in the east were demolished this year.

@ wmbdvm:
Hi Bill! Well, it has been heavily criticized that the landing on the XBox has lost a lot of quality. Asobo promised to make up for it. I had noticed this too, but I have enough graphics power to always get to my 30 fps in Ultra.

The elsewhere to post it is flightsimulator.com, which is the official MS/Asobo site, and it welcomes feedback (altho I suspect that they are pretty snowed under ight now, thanks to SU 5 & WU 6!)

I just did an evening flight and realized that it doesn't make sense to talk about bugs anymore. With so many, it remains to be seen until the next fix comes.
-
Don't give up on talking about bugs, but if they are SIM bugs (as opposed to flightsim.to addon bugs, your best port of call is the official site.
Sorry, but that's my best advice to get this whole train crash back on the rails again.

Hello John! I'm not giving up, but the number of bugs is so high and clear that I don't even think it's worth mentioning. Asobo now has a lot of work to do to fix this problem, Asobo has already admitted the problem on their website. If there are bugs again after the next update, I'll check again to see if there are any. At the moment one can only wait and see. Thank you for your answer, flightsim.to is a great team and I really hope that your mods will be usable again in the next update!
-
I'll let you into a little secret. I'm not part of the flightsim.to team - just a busybody simmer trying to help people out, on a site that I think is great, too.

Am running the new Update VI and cannot get the Boston Logan Tower to install. Extracted the files into the Cumminity Folder but the same old lame Tower is present and not the proper one. Is this a problem with the new update?
-
Don't be surprised, that also was WU6! Asphalt road to a star?
For information: Today I had the first CTD since WU6 and I got the question when restarting whether I want to fly in safe mode. This is probably new. Third-party providers etc. are excluded. Although my community folder is without entries, everything worked a little better in this mode.
You get this ask also in the next start, when you close the Sim via task-manager!
-
OK, so they have given users the sim even when they've screwed up 3rd party content. that's nice of them, but I hope that isn't their "final solution" - that they'll address the reasons why they've killed 3rd party addons as well, or at least let it be known what has to be done to rectify the problem. It would also be nice if they could give us a way to pinpoint just which addons wouldn't work with the sim post update.
Thinks: I wonder if the MFS Addons Collector QA feature can help us there?
-
I also hope that this will not be the last word! Is there MS behind it? Maybe MS or Asobo just want to keep complaints away? Or should it just be a way to restore the previous version when there are so many bugs? How this is lived remains to be seen. However, it can be guessed that the path for third-party providers will be a bit trickier ...
As I said earlier, the Sim works better in the "save mode", this also rolled back the Garmin update to the previous version!!!
-
I understand that if it opens in safe mode, it will stay in safe mode from then on until you specifically take it out of safe mode.
BTW, you realize that our addons don't run on Xbox, and MS would, I expect, dearly love to sell many more Xbox series X, and making FS users less likely to run addons is likely to help them in that campaign.

Set the renderscale to exactly 100. Everything lower removes objects and everything above makes objects float.

We must wait for the fix! See above! I hope some bugs are fixed now!
