I bought MS Flight Simulator from steam and installed in my steam folder on my E drive. I am trying to install the Edinburgh mod. Tried creating a community folder and placing the files in there but no luck. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

Have you found the right msfs2020 folder? the path should look like this : C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community
Thank you for replying! I just put the folders in the place you suggest and makes no diference.
Does this help?
I came looking for this information and the following (from the link posted by Exquisite above) helped me. I purchased the game through Steam, but I believe the info below will work for anyone looking for their 'Community' folder. I'm currently running 1.14.6.0.
I'm being repetitive, but anyway...
There are several mods out there that can take the strain out of managing your mods.
MSFS Addon Collector is the one I'm most familiar with , but I believe that MSFS Addons Linker has similar features.
MSFS Addon Collector is worth downloading just for the embedded pdf user guide.
The whole process is made much easier by either of these tools.
If you prefer the look of MSFS Addons Linker, there are several very instructive videos available on YouTube that should give you a chance to get to use the tool productively.
