Problem with "Packages" folder

  • You can locate the current location for the community folder to try and find it.

Enable Developer mode in the options for MSFS, and then on the dev menu, access Tools ->Virtual File System. Then expand "Watched Bases", and in there you should be able to see where MSFS is loading addons from, which could show you the new locations.

  • I ask the moderator to extend this information in case some other user might have the same problem.

This has happened with the download of the program directly to the main hard drive from the MFS2020 CD pack.

SU5 removed "Watched Bases" from there.

I'm having the same issue, and I can't find any other location for the "Community" folder aside from in the AppData\Roaming\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages\Community

  • Here's what I did:

  • To change the time of day while flying (to 'daylight' etc without returning to Main page), it is useful to use Develop mode and change it there under Options. I used to be able also to change planes the same way under 'Windows' but my Dev mode only shows one more plane (Cessna Caravan) and the rest of the drop-down plane list is missing. Any ideas to help correct?
