How Can you Get Better Results?

  • So it was recently posted that someone bought a new PC and added a graphics card to get better results but the results were the same. I'm hoping this can help and I'd love to hear as many people chime in and help us all out. here is the link to Microsofts' system requirements for a reference: https://www.microsoft.com/en-u…onofsystemrequirementstab

I'm using an Intel i7 9700K 3.6GHz 9th Gen processor with an ASUS Gaming board, 32 GB RAM and an MSI GeForce GTX 1660 DirectX 12 GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Video card. I have a Nice Logitech x-56 HOTAS and some foot pedals by the same company. I know Microsoft says you can use an i5 processor, but I'm not so sure what those results are like. A good graphics card is a huge plus, it's actually an absolute must to get better graphics, but your actual CPU, and onboard RAM also can't be overlooked.

AMD or Intel it's your choice, NVIDIA or ATI, it's all the same to me at this point. However you get what you pay for. if you can't afford a high end graphics card, or CPU, and so on you probably won't be able to get the best performance, and have to adjust your graphics settings, or deal with frame rate issues like skipping and the like ( still have to deal with that at times). My PC isn't the best, and I have reasons behind that such as staying on a budget, but I did splurge a bit after buying this game. In 3 years my computer will be obsolete and this will probably run flawlessly on new systems. For now I'm happy with what I have. So here's my settings and a little video of what it looks like. I hope this helps someone out there, and I strongly encourage everyone who has computer knowledge to reach out and help those in need.

  • I was having alot of memory crashes so I upped the Virtual Memory and so far so good. I have 16gbs so if anyone is looking to try this go to system and then advanced system settings. Under the performance box click settings and then under the Advanced tab click change. Uncheck Automatically manage paging and click custom size. For 16 gbs you would set 24576 for initial size. (16 x 1024 x 1.5) for maximum size put 49152 ( 16 x 1024 x 3). Make sure to hit enter after entering each number or it will not save the numbers. You will need to restart after doing this. I also upped the amount of rolling cache to 100 gbs.

I have been running this for a couple of days now and have had no shut downs of FS since.

  • This is an old post, but I just changed my HDMI cable to a DP cable ( 8 K, HDR HBE and a few other things ) and my whole pc improved tremendously. As for the sim I can't believe the better clarity and picked up 15 to 20 FPS depending on what's happening in the sim. It was very pretty before, now it's just gorgeous.
