Hello, it seems like something changed on the website since the last time I downloaded mods (about a week ago). All downloaded archives are placed inside other archives, with random letters added as a name suffix. This makes installing mods slower since you have to extract a folder twice. Is this just on my end and if not, why was it implemented?
Names of downloaded archives

Changed the title of the thread from “Downloaded archive names” to “Names of downloaded archives”. -
There has been no changes regarding this. Probably just the author(s) of the mods you downloaded made this change.

That's just the file name, and it was always like that. The file name has no relation to the file contents. The creators decide on the file content. I haven't seen a file that needs to be extracted twice. In most cases its just a ZIP and inside that ZIP is the folder, which you need to drag and drop into your Community folder.

You don't understand. It's a zip, inside of which is a folder, inside of which is another folder with the mod content. That defeats the purpose of 'drag and drop'. Before, the content was directly inside the main folder in the zip file. Anyway, it's fixed for me now.
