MSFS from desktop icon keeps opening Gaming Services. Does anyone have loading issues with the STEAM version? PC

If it's not one thing, it's another when it comes to the MS Store and MSFS on PC. I'm of having to "Install from Xbox app" every other day. I'm wondering if I just buy the Steam Version, will I still have the same issues or a whole other set? Does anyone have the Steam version, and if so, do you have issues when trying to simply launch the sim? I understand the only difference in the two versions are the launchers and once in the sim all other problems will be the same. It's just the launchers I'm asking about.

Thanks, JohnG that helped! I decided to stick with MS Store for now. Hopefully MS will iron out the issues over time.
